I'm not sure if this is allowed in this community, and if not, mods, please delete. The coincidence was too good to pass up and maybe someone in this community can help.
I am a volunteer for driveforlife
, which works with animal rescue organizations across the United States to organize dog and cat transports. There are currently two senior dogs named (you guessed it!) Jack and Chloe who are trying to go to their forever home from rescue (they were surrendered when their owners passed away).
For those of you who don't know what animal transports are - they are a way to get a few caring individuals to volunteer their time, car use, and a few dollars in gas money to drive the animals for a few hours to their destination. The animals go from a bad situation to a better one and often they go from a foster home into a forever home. This Saturday, March 14, 2009 Jack and Chloe will be going home except that there in no one to take them through Kentucky and Tennessee.
If you can help with a few hours of your time this Saturday, please go here
and e-mail the transport coordinator with your willingness to help.
Thank you so much!
